Belle Vue remain top as Cressing, Tiptree and Silver End all win

There was plenty of movement in the Essex & Suffolk Border League on Saturday as Belle Vue, Coggeshall United Reserves, Cressing United, Alresford Colne Rangers Reserve, Tiptree Jobserve, Silver End United and FC Clacton Reserves all picked up wins.

Belle Vue Social Club are 5-points clear at the top of the league after they beat Boxted Lodgers 2-1. A brace for Belle Vue’s Bruce Poole was enough despite a Paul Goddard goal for the Lodgers.

Coggeshall United moved up to 6th-place as they recorded their 4th win of the season with a 5-2 win over West Bergholt Reserves whilst FC Clacton Reserves also won their fourth game of the season with a 3-1 win over Stanway Pegasus Reserves as a brace from Andreas Antoniou-Garcia and a goal from Charlie Thompson were enough.

Alresford Colne Rangers Reserves were up to 2nd after they beat Gosfield United 5-1 with a hattrick from Ross Nash as well as goals from Roger Smith and Kieran Dixonwhilst Tiptree Jobserve were level on points will Alresford after they won their 5th game of the season as they beat Hedinghams United 3-2, who were defeated despite two-goals from Archie Trew and Barnie Pullinger.

Cressing United were up to 9th after putting 4 past Stanway Rovers Reserves who lost their four loss of the season whilst Silver End United picked up their 5th win of the season as they beat Dunmow Town 2-1.

There was also a draw for Shrub End United as 3-goals for either side meant they were held against Mersea Island with both sides remaining midtable.
