Bowers, Royston, Star and Luton at home

The draw for the 2020/21 First Qualifying Round of the FA Women’s Cup has been made. Seven Eastern Region Women’s Football League side go into the next round following wins a couple of weeks ago.

Bowers & Pitsea Ladies vs Harlow Town Ladies

Bowers will welcome Harlow to Pitsea in the First Qualifying Round in the first all-ERWFL tie. The hosts progressed from the Preliminary Round after they beat Garston 5-0 with a hattrick from Natalie Strange and goals from Ammarah Ali and Juliet Thomas.

Harlow Town have already played two games in the FA Cup after they started in the Extra Preliminary Round. They defeated Runwell Sports 6-0 after braces from Olivia Steele and Georgia Box and goals from Chloe Bassett and Daisy Jenkins. The Preliminary Round saw them play Colney Heath and come away with a 4-3 win. Goals from Chloe Bassett, Vikki Wotton, Olivia Steele and Georgia Box were enough despite three goals from the hosts.

Luton Town Ladies vs Wroxham Women

Luton Town will welcome Wroxham to the Brache Training Centre in the second all-ERWFL tie. The hosts started their FA Cup journey in the Preliminary Round with a 9-1 victory over Rayleigh Town away from home. Four goals for Jess Mckay, braces for Nicole Henman and Leyah Maddix and a goal for Adrienne Milton helped Town to a thrashing victory.

Wroxham also progressed from the Preliminary Round after a 7-3 victory over King’s Lynn Town. A hattrick from Grace Birchall, a brace from Rebecca Russell, a goal from Lauren Bullard and an own goal was enough as they came back from 2-1 down at half-time to win. They had previously played in the Extra Preliminary Round with a 10-0 victory over Kettering Town with hattricks from Rebecca Russell and Zoe Cossey and braces from Grace Birchall and Lauren Bullard.

Northampton Town Ladies vs St Ives Town Ladies

St Ives Town began their season in the Extra Preliminary Round with a 12-0 victory over Hartham United with a hattrick from Katie Stancombe, braces from Ruth Fox, Abbi Griffin, Hannah Seymour-Shove and Georgia Stancombe and a goal from Ella Burnley. The Preliminary Round saw St Ives travel to Histon where they picked up a 4-2 win with a brace from Elisabeth Manuel and goals from Hannah Seymour-Shove and Georgia Stancombe.

Peterborough Northern Star Ladies vs Southend United Community SC Ladies

Peterborough Northern Star battled with March Town Ladies in the Preliminary Round of the FA Cup and came out 13-1 winners. Four goals each for Cassie Steward and Jess Driscoll as well as braces for Chanade Henderson and Katie Steward and a goal for Faith Horner saw them send March Town packing with a comfortable victory.

Royston Town Ladies vs Brett Vale Ladies

Royston fought their way through the Preliminary Round with a penalty shootout win over Peterborough United. Goals from Gemma Croucher, Samantha Edgar, Yasmin Pratt and Emma Slater weren’t enough as they drew 4-4, sending the game to a decider. The Crows won 4-2 on penalties to send them through to face Brett Vale.
