Peterborough Northern Star Ladies (PPG: 2.25 – 2nd)
Peterborough lead the table after 8-games but find themselves 2nd on points-per-game. The season began with a loss to Harlow Town before they went 3-games unbeaten as they beat Bowers & Pitsea, AFC Dunstable and St Ives Town but were beaten by Wymondham Town. They returned to winning ways with 3-wins on the bounce as they were victorious over Colney Heath, Bowers & Pitsea and AFC Dunstable. Peterborough lead Wymondham Town by 4-goals but hope they can continue on their winning run as they look to open up a gap.
Wymondham Town Women (PPG: 2.25 – 3rd)
Wymondham Town have the same record of Star but lack on goal-difference. They began the season with 4-wins as they beat Bedford, AFC Dunstable, Colney Heath and Harlow Town before that run was brought to an end by Bowers & Pitsea. They returned to winning ways as they beat St Ives Town and Peterborough but faced their second-defeat of the season as they lost to Colney Heath. Wymondham Town will hope to return to winning ways as they look to gain promotion to the National League while also want to extending the gap over sides below.
St Ives Town Ladies (PPG: 2 – 4th)
St Ives Town sit 2-points off the leaders after 8-games. The Saints remained unbeaten in their opening 3-games as they beat Haringey Borough, AFC Dunstable Town while drawing with Bedford. Their run came to an end as they were beaten by Peterborough Northern Star before they faced a second defeat, losing to Wymondham Town but they ended the year with two-wins as they beat both AFC Dunstable and Bedford. St Ives Town will hope to build on their winning run as they look to challenge at the top.
Colney Heath Ladies (PPG: 2 – 5th)
Colney Heath sit 4-points behind St Ives but having played two-games less. The Magpies began the season with a win over AFC Dunstable before they faced defeat against Wymondham. They returned to winning ways as they beat Haringey Borough and Bedford but faced another defeat as they lost to Peterborough before beating Wymondham in December. Colney Heath will hope to build on their win over Wymondham as they look to continued to rise up the table.
Harlow Town Ladies (PPG: 2 – 6th)
Harlow Town are favorites to go up following their incredible 2019/20 season but find themselves 5th after 5-games. The Hawks began with a win over Peterborough Northern Star before adding to that a win over Royston Town but the unbeaten start was brought to an end as they were defeated by Wymondham Town. A late show won a point for Harlow against Wroxham before they were victorious over Bowers & Pitsea to end the year. Harlow still hold ambitions to reach the National League and will hope they can use their games in-hand to rise up the table.
Wroxham Women (PPG: 1.66 – 7th)
Wroxham sit level on points with Harlow, having played a game more. The Yachtswomen began the season with a victory over Bowers & Pitsea before they were beaten by Luton Town. They remained unbeaten as they beat Haringey Borough and Royston Town while drawing with Harlow Town but faced defeat in the reverse fixture with Borough. Wroxham will hope to return to winning ways as they look to rise up the table and challenge for promotion.
Luton Town Ladies (PPG: 2.33 – 1st)
Luton have the best points-total despite sitting in 7th. The Hatters have played just 3 league games this season as they remain unbeaten. They began the season with a 1-1 draw with Royston Town before they beat both Wroxham and Bowers & Pitsea. Luton hold all the cards as they have plenty of games in-hand on the teams above but will hope they can use that to rise up the table and challenge like they did last season.
Haringey Borough Women (PPG: 1 – 8th)
Haringey Borough have picked up 7-points from their first 7-games. Although they faced defeat on the opening day of the season, losing to St Ives Town, they got their first win of the season as they beat Bedford. They struggled for form as they managed a single point in the following four-games as they drew with Bowers & Pitsea but lost to Colney Heath, Wroxham and AFC Dunstable before beating Wroxham in the reserve fixture. Haringey Borough were one of the strugglers of last season so hope they can have better fortunes and finish as high as possible.
AFC Dunstable Women (PPG: 0.66 – 10th)
AFC Dunstable sit a point behind Haringey Borough but having played two-games more. Dunstable faced losses in their first 3-games as they were beaten by Colney Heath, Wymondham Town and St Ives Town before they got their first win of the season as they beat Bedford. They faced a further 2-losses, facing defeat to Peterborough Northern Star and Royston Town before they beat Haringey Borough. The last two-games of the year ended in defeat as they were beaten by St Ives Town and Peterborough Northern Star. AFC Dunstable were another struggler of last season so will hope, like Haringey, they have a better season this time around.
Royston Town Women (PPG: 1 – 9th)
Royston Town have 4-points in 4-games after struggling at the start of the season. They began the new season with a draw with Luton Town before they faced defeat against Harlow Town. Their first win of the season came against AFC Dunstable before they faced another defeat, this time against Wroxham. The Crows will hope they can improve their season and use their games in-hand to rise up the table to avoid relegation.
Bedford Ladies (PPG: 0.57 – 11th)
Bedford Ladies have 4-points but have played 7-games this season. Bedford faced 3-losses in their opening 3-games as they were beaten by Wymondham Town, Haringey Borough and AFC Dunstable before they picked up their first point against St Ives Town. That was followed by a loss to Colney Heath before they beat Bowers & Pitsea. They found themselves on the losing side for the last game of 2020 as they were beaten by St Ives Town. Bedford were a tough side to beat last season and will hope to find their form to avoid relegation.
Bowers & Pitsea Ladies (PPG: 0.44 – 12th)
Bowers & Pitsea find themselves bottom of the league by -11 goals after 9-games. Bowers picked up a single point in their opening 3-games as they drew with Haringey Borough but lost to Wroxham and Peterborough Northern Star. They followed a tough start with their first win of the season as they got a shock win over Wymondham Town but it wasn’t enough to kick-start a good run of form as they lost to St Ives Town, Bedford, Harlow Town, Peterborough Northern Star and Luton Town. Bowers will hope to find some better form when the season returns as they look to avoid relegation.
