Little Oakley defeated as Wormley, Forest and Hackney all win

Little Oakley remained top-of-the-league by 2-points despite defeat from Burnham Ramblers. Goals from Lewis Wood, Grey Rodger and Jordan Heath weren’t enough as John-Joe Slater and a hattrick from Tom Rangers helped the visitors onto a good win.

Newbury Forest moved level on points with Frenford, having played a game less with a 4-3 win over Halstead Town. Halstead had taken the lead but two-goals for Forest including a penalty put them ahead. Two-goals from the visitors put them ahead soon after but that wasn’t the end as Newbury Forest came back to win. Harwich & Parkeston remained winless with a 2-1 defeat to Benfleet whilst Barkingside picked up their 3rd win of the season with a 2-1 victory over Coggeshall United.

Both Wormley Rovers and Hackney Wick won 3-0 as the Wickers recorded their first victory of the season and Wormley closed the gap on the sides above. Goals from Makael Williams, Giorgio Sallangou and Dante Mcintosh was enough for Hackney against Brimsdown while goals from Brandon D’Costa, Erald Desa and Mason Robinson saw Rovers beat 2nd-placed Frenford.

May & Bakers remained bottom as they recorded their first loss of the season in their second game of the season. Goals for Karl Swanborough and Felipe Zamorano were enough for Wivenhoe Town as they beat Bakers.
