Following Stow loss in the league, their attentions will turn to the FA Vase on Saturday as they travel to Harwich. Stow will go up against Eastern Counties League Division One South side Harwich & Parkeston.
Walthamstow have played 5 games so far in all competitions with 3 wins and 2 losses. The first competitive game saw Stow progress in the FA Cup after they beat London Lions in the Extra Preliminary Round before they beat Sporting Bengal at Mile End. The first defeat of the season came at the hands of Stansted at Wadham Lodge despite Charncey Dash giving the Stags the lead. Stow reached the 1st Qualifying Round in the FA Cup, progressing past Cockfosters after a penalty shoot-out win before they were stunned by Southend Manor on Tuesday with a 3-2 defeat.
In the Vase last season, Walthamstow started off in the First Round Proper. They were drawn against Broadfields United and beat their opponents 3-1 before going up against AFC Uckfield Town in the Second Round Proper. Stow’s run came to an end at the hands of the Oakmen after a 3-2 loss at home.
Harwich have played two games so far, losing both. They were defeated by Brimsdown on the opening day, losing 3-2, before they narrowly lost 1-0 to Frenford at home.
The Shrimpers were eliminated from the First Qualifying Round of the FA Vase last season as they lost 2-0 to Lopes Tavares.
Both sides will be hoping to get a win, giving them some confidence going into their league campaigns.
