Walthamstow will be looking to get back to winning ways after Tuesday’s result when they welcome Southend Manor to Wadham Lodge for some more league action.
Despite losing their first game of the season, Stow’s record this season (so far) is still impressive. After 13 league games, the Stags have won 10, drew 2 and lost 1 whilst scoring 36 and conceding 5, currently sit in 4th with 32 points.
Wins for Walthamstow have come against Tower Hamlets (twice), Stansted, Ilford, Cockfosters, St Margaretsbury, Redbridge, Enfield, Woodford Town whilst also being Southend Manor away from home. The club have drawn against Hadley and Saffron Walden Town whilst losing 1-0 to Takeley.
Stow’s opponents currently sit in 17th with 13 points after 15 games. After those 15 league games, Southend have won 4, drawn 1 and lost 10 whilst scoring 17 and conceding 34.
Their season began with a 1-0 loss to Sporting Bengal United before they beat Hashtag United. They’re next 3 games saw them loss to St Margaretsbury, Woodford Town and Hoddesdon Town before getting back to winning ways against Cockfosters and Ilford. They failed to win the next five games; losing to Redbridge, Tower Hamlets, Enfield and Stow while also drawing with Takeley. They managed to beat Clapton by a goal to nil but have lost their last two games against Cockfosters and Saffron Walden Town (although the latter was closer than expected).
It should be a good game of football as both sides look to get back to winning ways.
