Gameweek 12 saw a first win for Woodford Town as Hashtag United, Stansted, Takeley and Saffron Walden Town also won.
Hashtag United had taken a 8-point lead at the top-of-the-table as a 94th minute winner from Ryan O’Rawe saw them pick up their 9th win of the season before Stansted close that gap to 5-points with a win over West Essex. West had taken the lead just 10-minutes into the game through Manny Shoderu as he converted a rebound but Stansted had brought themselves level just before half-time as Nick Reynolds headed home. The visitors were down to 10-men as Emmanuel Wazola was shown a second yellow before, a few minutes later and 5-minutes before time, the Airportmen had taken full advantage of the man advantage as Nathan Putt’s deflected effort was taken beyond the West keeper.
A 73rd minute from Jae Kelly for Woodford Town was enough for their first win and points of the 2020/21 season as they beat Sporting Bengal United at Mile End whilst Takeley recorded their second big win in two-games, following their 5-0 win at St Margaretsbury, with a 7-0 win over Southend Manor. A brace from Elliott Long as well as goals from Samson Adelaja, Lewis Deemer, Michael Laronde, Glenn O’Hanlon and Ryan Lynch were enough for the visitors big win as they rounded their goal tally to 12-goals in two-games.
Wednesday Night saw a win for Saffron Walden Town and a draw between Ilford and Sawbridgeworth Town. Neither the Foxes or Robins could convert their chances as they cancelled each other out for a 0-0 draw whilst Walden found themselves 1-0 ahead at half-time before further goals from Craig Calver and Ross Adam’s gave them a comfortable 3-0 win to record their 4th of the season and move them up to 6th in the table.
